My role at Green Park School is both a fulfilling and a rewarding role, giving me the opportunity to shape the future for children with special needs.
I started as a teacher, qualified to work with pupils with severe learning difficulties, in 1992. Using my family experience of disability, to support me in my first teaching post at Green Park.
I moved on to special schools in Coventry and Birmingham to deepen my knowledge, on the way I gained specialist qualifications at Birmingham University in Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (A.C.E), Autism (Dip Ed) and finally Multi-Sensory Impairment (M.Ed). This specialist knowledge has helped me to support the needs of all pupils at Green Park and to recognise that the secret to successful learning for our children and young people is the passion and commitment of the professionals who support them and their families.
I strive every day to ensure that as a school we give the best to children who deserve the best! |

My name is Paul Brookes, my initial training is in Secondary mainstream. I have been at Green Park School for over 15 years and have received my 25 years service award with Wolverhampton LEA.
I am the Deputy Head Teacher and school improvement leader for ‘Enjoy and Achieve’, a role that encourages pupils to celebrate their successes and achievements.
I get a buzz out of creating opportunities for pupils, parents, staff and others to explore their potential in the hope that they will realise that their potential can always grow.

I am Angie Esson. I came to Green Park from a mainstream Primary School in January 2000, initially as a class teacher.
I am passionate about teaching and learning and having worked with students from 4 up to 19 years of age, I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenges that this has bought.
Helping to create compelling learning experiences for our students is of paramount importance to me. A lively, interesting and relevant curriculum is essential in ensuring that our students have a truly meaningful education.
I have recently been appointed as Assistant Head Teacher, a role that supports the Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher. I am also the school improvement leader for ‘Staying Safe’.
My time at Green Park has offered me a wealth of experiences. I immensely enjoy my job and aim to share my enthusiasm for learning and empower our students, who have incredible strengths and abilities to offer.
