Purple Cluster

We offer our pupils many opportunities to functionally use the skills they have learnt during their school journey. We utilize external College and Work Experience providers, pupils having the opportunity to take part in a variety of courses including Performing Arts, ICT and Pottery. We also enjoy using the wonderful facilities that we have within school - such as our life skills area and specialist rooms. For example in the Food Technology room we run a basic skills group where pupils run a mini-enterprise programme making and selling jacket potatoes and the food planning and preparation group where our young people will plan, shop for and make meals.

We also offer pupils relevant and exciting lunchtime clubs which include, running, health and beauty and dance ensuring there is something to interest everyone. The school week for a pupil in Purple Cluster is a busy one, we are out and about all the time enjoying what school and the local community can offer.

Our aim is to ensure, that by the time our young people are ready to move on from us, they are able to transfer the knowledge and skills they have acquired at school into life beyond. We aim for all pupils to become secure, happy and successful adults.
