Welcome Back
04th September 2023
We’re really looking forward to seeing all of our pupils back in school on Wednesday 6th September!
Just a reminder that some of the road safety improvements, we were all consulted on before the break, have taken place.
There is a new 20mph speed limit and some new traffic calming humps and road markings. These are in addition to the existing parking restrictions that are in place, between 8:00-9:30am and 2:30 -4:00pm on the marked areas of the road. The proposed one way system has not yet been implemented and further consultation will be made on this issue.
Have a lovely last few days of the break and we’ll see you very soon!

Sad News
16th June 2022
We love sharing our achievements and good news with you, but unfortunately today, we have some sad news to share. Our new reflection area, which hasn't even opened yet, was vandalised last night. Please help us look after our school environment, we along with all schools across the city, are trying to bring enriching educational experiences to our pupil's lives , so if you know anyone who accesses our site at night, please ask them to help us look after it for the good of our pupils or even better ask them not to trespass on the site at all. We will repair the garden soon and look forward to our pupils being able to use it as a safe space for reflection, pause and remembrance. Thank you x

IMPORTANT TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF SCHOOL
04th January 2021
Monday, 04 January 2021
Dear Parents,
Re Temporary Closure of School
You may have read in the media that pressure is being put on the DfE to close all primary and special schools nationally in light of the new strain of COVID-19 and taking into account advice from SAGE. Wolverhampton Local Authority are also seeking support from the DfE on this concern. Governors have held an emergency meeting this morning and have decided to
only be open this week, to keyworker children and vulnerable children as set out in previous national guidance. This will be reviewed on Friday and we will be back in touch.
Parents will need to complete a form on our website if they will be requesting keyworker provision which is now live and we will need this information, with your supporting evidence; by 2:00pm today in order to make transport arrangements. We will risk assess the provision we can put in place to meet the demand and contact parents as soon as we have clear DfE guidance. In the meantime, please be assured that your children’s safety is our top priority and we are currently reviewing and updating risk assessments and this will be updated on our website tomorrow.
Mrs Dawney
IMPORTANT INFO RE CLOSURE OF SCHOOL
01st January 2021
On Wednesday 30 December, in response to rapidly rising case rates due to the new, more transmissible variant of coronavirus, the Government triggered the education contingency framework. In preparation for the roll out of mass testing in school we will be closed to all pupils on Monday 4th January to organise arrangements. The Government has also reinstated the shielding guidance for clinically extremely vulnerable groups in tier 4, effective from 20 December. All clinically extremely vulnerable children (CEV) are advised not to attend education settings in tier 4 areas only. Wolverhampton is currently a tier 4 area. Attendance is encouraged but will not be mandatory for special school pupils of primary school age and parents will not be penalised if their child does not attend. Parents should let the school know if their child will not be attending school by emailing or phoning school. We will be in touch with further information on Monday about the process and systems for returning to the new term. Thank you for your understanding.

New Eyegaze-- Thank you to our Fundraisers!
20th October 2020
As always the team at Green Park are overwhelmed by the support we have from our local community and friends of our school. For many years a group of people known as the Voluntary committee of Green Park school try every year through raffles , applications to charities and fund raising events to make a difference to our children. They are a very small team but they have made a massive difference to our school resources. Due to COVID they have not been able to visit school for some time but we want to celebrate their hard work as they have been able to raise funds for a new Eye Gaze computer. We just want to say a huge THANK YOU. The children are going to have lots of fun using it in class to develop their communication skills. Thank you in these difficult times for making us smile!
